Live window was designed for real-time (live) show performing. Live window has two main parts - image grid and control panel. Image grid allows to store up to 2048 items. The cell of grid may contains various objects like images, effects and color, same a commands that allows to control program. Cells of grid can be activated by means of keyboard shortcuts and MIDI keyboard. Regarding MIDI we can say that Live cover all possible note-messages that must be used in MIDI protocol. This means that may be used all 16 channels and all 128 notes. Also Live provides page-based channel selection. Not all MIDI keyboards allows to split the keyboard on parts where part will use different channel. Exactly for this case was designed special mode where channel information is ignored and used note number only. This mode allows to use 16 pages where each has 128 notes (cells).
Live part of ShowRider are multi-track oriented too. Program supports 4 track for each scanner. Each track can execute image, effect and color oscillator. Also track has crossfade settings that defines how exactly one image will change next one. Of course all this features are optional and you are free to disable it any time you want.
Control panel contains few groups of various controls.
Monitor panel contains a grid that shows what are currently loaded in to live tracks - images, effects, colors. Also Monitor panel allows to control crossfade type and duration.
Rotation panel allows to apply a rotation to a live tracks. There may be applied static and dynamic rotations around X,Y and Z axis.
Position panel allows to control output position. Position panel has resolution control that allows to change a motion sensitivity in a real-time.
Color panel allows to change color of image in a real-time. By means of scrollbars may be change color-morph value that may be used for smooth color changing.
RIYA Audio panel allows to control audio input of RIYA controllers. Note: Controller allows to move or resize frames depend on audio input
Scrollbars of Control panel allows to change size, brightness, scanrate, playback speed and color morph.
Any slider of control panel may be controlled by mean of MIDI Control Change or Pitch Band messages. Also MIDI controllers can be assigned to a "internal channels". Channels is the system that allows to control abstraction and effect parameters in real-time. LAStudio software has 255 internal channels where each channel work like multiplier for object parameters. As example you may change amplitude of abstraction oscillator, periods number or effect parameters.
Same as Designer, Live also has a access to Show Room...
