ShowRider is the program for show design. ShowRider provides friendly interface, true visual show development and wide range of features.
Starts from version 5 ShowRider has 3 parts:
Show can include up to 64 tracks and can control up to 4 scanners. Each track contains image-line and optional effect lines. In the new version line types number increased up to 35.
Geometric effects: Rotation, Size, Position, Perspective,
Keystone.
Color effects: Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, RGB Levels
correction, Direct color change, Recolor to Bitmap, and opacity control for Direct color
change, Recolor to Bitmap and Color oscillators
Window effects: Window X, Window Y, Window Z, Fog, Z Color
fade
Attributes: Visible points, Scanrate
Clone: Clone effect
Special: Beams, Chaser, Projections (for multi-screen shows),
TTL Out, Music (for RIYA controllers) and Channels
Objects: Image, Effect, Key effect, EBlock (Events Block),
Color oscillators.
Also included new line type (Link) for navigation inside the track. This allows to mark a track segment and use a link to it in any place at the same track.
In the new ShowRider can be used various styles of show programming. Most simplest and
fast way is where effects placed directly at timeline. You don't need to make effect...
just click on timeline and effect event automatically appear. Later you can select the
events and place it in to event-block. Event block is object that contains an events, and
later you can operate with e-blocks only.
Also is possible to operate with EBlock from a start of show development. In this way you
create an empty EBlock event and increase it step by step. Very useful that all can be
done inside one window only - all event parameters are placed inside small rollup window
that appear automatically when you click on event.
New. Start from version 5 ShowRider has absolutely new effect engine called as Key-Effects. Key effects has over 60 effect types.
Key effect editor is a true 3D editor which has 4 freely adjustable projections. Also
Key Effect editor has its own timeline where can be defined a key states of effects. In
contrast to other solutions you don't need to create events on timeline - you just change
effect state and key-state (event) will be created automatically. Each key-state has
parameters like rate of change the defines a speed of passing (acceleration) to it. Also
it is possible to define custom acceleration trajectory for each key-state.
Each key-line has its own interpolation level that allows to smooth effect trajectory.
This starts to be possible only because key effect uses non-linear internals based on 3rd
degree curves. This is the quit to powerful solutions relative to classic way where used
linear point-to-point motion. As a result you can define a motion path by means of spline
which are editable in 3D space.
In the new version ShowRider has a real-time laser visualization system called as "Show Room". Show Room has a used defined scanner that has its own location and orientation, beam parameters, and special parameter that defines how scanner will be used - for beams or for graphics. Each scanner of "ShowRider" may be connected to one or more scanners of show room. Example you can see on screenshot - two "beam" scanners are connected to one "scanner of ShowRider", and third scanner is used for graphics and has its own screen.
There are 4 main types of synchronization.
