Draw 3D is much more than 3D editor. Program includes 4 text processors that includes Animated words, Key word , Raster text and Scrolling text that makes text oriented operations maximally fast and comfortable. Also Draw 3D includes 3 effect oriented editor: Effect editor, Filter editor and Write out editor
Brand new
Draw 3D includes new animation-oriented object called as Key word.

(key-word animation example)
In new version Draw 3D provides import from DXF format and import from 3D MAX.

DXF format start to be "de
facto" standard for all 3D programs a long time ago.
Import from 3D MAX implemented by means of MAXScript. MAXScript allows to export editable mesh. Can be imported static objects same as animations.
Editor has 4 windows/projections. Each window has its own projection settings. This means that editor is not limited to front, left and top projections. Projections are freely oriented where adjustable are size, position and orientation. There is ability to store up to 10 projection settings and setting can be restored by context menu of the window.
3DE has classic set of drawing tools like Add point, Freehand (stream of points), Line, Rectangle, Circle and Text. All tools has its toolbar with corresponded parameters related to the tool. That save the time of editing because you do not need to open various settings dialogs. As example for Circle tool its toolbar contains the parameters that allows to control start/end angle for making the arc, for Line tool - angle of drawing, for Freehand - density of points and so on...
This features allows to make editing in most simple way. "Align" allow to set coordinates to specified step and "Snap" allows to join the points in 3D space.
One of powerful features is ability to define the custom shapes that will be used as drawing tools. The idea of this tool is very simple - take any frame and use it as usual tools - like rectangle. Object are stored inside library that provides fast access. Library is fully controllable and allows to load the objects (frames) from ILD or any other frame-based file. Program provides operations with 3D objects, With keys-modifier an object can be used with proportional scale and with original color.
3DE provides editing tools like Move, Scale and Rotation. All tools may be used in 3D
space. operation can be allied to selected points only or to whole frame. With
keys-modifier operation may be applied to one axis only. Select tools provides selection
of point, polyline, selection by rectangle and "lasso".
Program provides classic clipboard operations like Copy, Paste and Cut. Program uses Windows clipboard and this allows to transfer the data between LAStudio applications.
This is not a secret that applications like Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator allows to copy vector graphics as metafiles in to the windows clipboard. Now this door is opened for laser images. Draw 3D allows to copy or paste the frame as metafile into the clipboard and that can be used for editing of your frames inside the greatest vector editors... (or just convert its clipart ;-)
Each projection can has the raster image as background. This can be used for manual tracing (for getting more information about automatic tracing please visit TraceIT page). Same as TraceIT, Draw 3D supports over 30 raster formats
Transformation is alternative way to apply editing operations like rotation, scale and
position via dialog. Transformation allows to define up to 16 operations. Operation will
be saved into the buffer and can be re-applied via menu without calling a dialog. Defined
operation can be applied to a copy of selected objects.
Another interesting feature is making a copies by means of Transformation. May be defined
up to 16 copies and the operations will be applies sequentially to each copy:

Primary that was a simple circle...
Draw 3D provides a wide range of pre-calculated effects like wrapping on Sphere,
Hemisphere, Cylinder, Ring, etc...
