In new version LAStudio provides advanced real-time image visualization based on OpenGL rendering. This gives a perfect image view in beam-like mode that can be done by means of standard window painting methods which are used in other laser show programs. Painting by means of  OpenGL also allows to use all power of modern video cards because all painting is done inside graphics accelerator and this free up main processor.

LAStudio Abstraction was designed for abstract images creation. Abstract image is based on 3 banks oscillators for geometric form and 4 banks of oscillators for color generation. Each bank of geometric form has 3 oscillators for X,Y and Z axis plus one common modulator.  Type of banks interaction is controllable and this means that banks may be used as additional modulators. Abstraction is able to attach the images. Concept of attachments is one of basis concept of LAStudio software - this allows to include images or effects inside. This is unique feature and it provided by object oriented internals of LAStudio software. This allows to build a great wall from a small bricks.
Abstractions in LAStudio is one of most powerful objects. It allows include animations, texts or other abstractions as primary oscillator bank and at the same time all geometric oscillator banks stay to be usable. This makes possible to build quit complex abstractions where one abstraction includes other abstraction. Also attached images can be used as subtrack Additional feature for making an interesting pictures is ability to use effects inside abstractions. Its very simple to add rotations, scaling or motion effects inside abstraction.

Live

New version of Abstraction allows to use MIDI Note On message for activation/changing windows with abstractions. This allows to use Abstraction in "Live" mode. Keyboard shortcuts may be used also. Both Note On and keyboard shortcuts can be assigned freely.

Randomize

If you need to get some rest and go for a cup of coffee - Abstraction can do some job for you. Just click "Random" button and program will change the windows in random order.

Desktops

New version of Abstraction allows to store the information about opened windows and store them into the file called as desktop. Program stores the list of desktops. Desktop may be restored by one click...

Audio effects

There are 2 types of audio effects. First effect is based on software-completely audio processing and based on standalone program "Spectra" that uses FFT. Second type is completely hardware implemented - LAStudio F4 controller is able to change the size and move the frames by X and Y axis depend on audio. Controller has low frequency filters and integrator for smooth motion.

There are various ways of using FFT based audio effect. Depend on audio-in abstraction can change amplitude or periods number of geometric oscillators. Also abstraction can change colors (brushes) depend on audio. Audio also can take effect on clone functions.

Projections

Abstraction has special feature for multi screen shows - projections. Projection is a geometric corrector that allows to change output size and position by one click.
